Got there in the late evening. We missed it twice, as the entrance is rather small and not well marked (English name is not well visibale). Finally we got there, place is very small, few chairs near the counter. We were lucky to get them and see the preparation of okonomiyaki. It was delicious!! I am so happy we got here, one of the best Japanese food we had!

Nice Hiroshima okonomiyaki style store. They also have other menus like oyster, yakisoba, etc. So its a good place if you want to try eating okonomiyaki and also taste others foods as well. The owner was really friendly. The store was a bit small, so if you want to eat here its better to call and make a reservation first.

Eating Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki here is a cool and great experience. I chose the seafood type which was prepared for me fast and entertaining. The price is perfectly okay especially taking into account the huge amount of food you get.

Absolutely delicious! Great service and atmosphere. There is an English menu. Make sure you either get there early or make a reservation. It's a small restaurant and gets busy quickly. We watched many people get turned away.

Came here based on the 4.5 rating. The menu is incredibly simple—base Onomiyaki (pork, cabbage, bean sprouts) with the ability to get add ins served with either soba or Udon. The noodles are what makes Hiroshima okonomiyaki special. They have two specials—one is seafood which I got and HIGHLY RECOMMEND or the Hassei Special which has cheese on it and looked insanely good. I hope to come back here someday in which case I’ll try it and bring someone with me so I can eat all the things. I’ve eaten some incredibly meals in my month here and this is prob my number 2. The best place to eat in Hiroshima! Prices are great, the food is delicious and the staff is very helpful and kind.

Huge portions (may be a good idea to share your okonomiyaki with someone), but very tasty and filling. Sometimes there are queues, because the place is quite popular among tourists. That's okay, because you can make a reservation there and come back for the right time. Service is fast and friendly.

I literally just ate here after a long day of seeing the sites around the area and nothing is as relaxing as watching your food cooked right in front of you by some of the most relaxed workers I've probably ever seen. They brilliantly cooked our food as well as entertained us for the duration of our dinner. I've never had such good beef ribs in my life, I was so surprised that they were as tasty as they were. The chef provided salt and pepper to dip the ribs into and my God! They just melted in and around my mouth, it was gorgeous. The fried oyster was also surprisingly good, as was the pork and the okonomiyaki, as expected, it was delicious!

Delicious Okonomiyaki, and so reasonable. They even cut our Okonomiyaki in half as we told them we were sharing. One of the cheapest meals we've had so far, and the quality was excellent too!

Outrageously tasty and extremely good value for money. 10/10 would come back again. Would recommend sitting at the grill if seats are available for the best experience.

Our first Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki. We got one with soba noodles, the other with udon noodles. We both added seafood to them. They were so good!! Also got a sausage plate to snack on which was tasty. Staff was super nice and offered to take a pic of our whole family at the table. Highly recommend for your Hiroshima Okinomiyaki experience.

The best okonomiyaki that I've ever had!

I cant decide between the fried lotus root and fried cheese potato. Both were an unmatched combination of crunchy cheesy starchy goodness. Prepare quickly and with a smile from the staff. This place was super English friendly and the Okonomiyaki was fresh. Great experience.

Simply the best place for oknomiyaki in Hiroshima. The prices are great and the food even better. The place is quite popular, so there is often is a queue taking about 40 min. But that is no problem, as you are able to visit shops and look at the beatiful citys architecture in the meantime.

Wow. Totally recommend a visit. Make a reservation if possible since it's quite small. One of us (in a group of 4) is gluten intolerant and the severs were accomodating, bringing appropriate orders (without Soy Sauce) in tinfoil as to not mix with the rest of the dishes. As for our mains, delicious seafood and meat options. Wanted to come again but they are apparently closed on Monday. A bill for 4 (with 4 beers, 3 side dishes, 1 main full, one main half) was around ¥7K. Not bad and service was excellent.

This was THE place to get Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. The staff were great about accommodating my vegetarianism and they even had a vegetarian brown sauce. The place is quite popular so if you have time, I’d recommend visiting the day before and reserving for the following night or going right at the opening time to eat or make a reso for later. Very cute and cosy place with pictures and writing all over the walls, you can tell this place has history and a lot of charm. The signage was sneaky though, the English ‘Hassei’ was mostly rubbed off from the wooden plaque outside so I included a pic of the exterior.

This was recommended as a must go place to eat the local delicacy okonomiyaki. It's fantastic and something I'll remember as a epic food experience for years to come. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic and a large portion is a really big meal. For those without an endless appetite the half portion okonomiyaki would probably suffice.

Everything was as it should - the food was delicious, I was sitting in front of the cooking places to view the process, I didn't have to wait at all (knowing the popularity of okonomiyaki places its a risk) and ultimately the price for 2 dishes that were enough to make 2 people full was mere 1700 yen. The menu is in English, the stuff is nice, there is nothing really to improve

Yes, it is a great restaurant with a range of okonomiyaki (noodles, cabbage between two pancakes plus meat, fish, etc.) prepared to your choice. Service is fast and friendly and restaurant is approx 50:50 Japanese:westerners. When the food does arrive it's a good portion size, tastes great and is very good value for money....in fact, so much so that we booked to return the following evening. Try to book in advance or get there reasonably early.

Big portions, cheap and very delicious! Service was great too. Would recommend.
